In this series, Rectilinear, Ronan uses long exposure photography to capture painting-like images from moving vehicles, panning and tilting or other forms of movement. The lines and colors come together to give great depth and seem to even have paint strokes running through them. These images capture the unexpected shapes and forms through long exposure in the everyday world. A sidewalk, a building, some grass, become something completely different. They change drastically as hard edges become soft lines and muted colors become vibrant. This is all done in camera with very little post production.
